In Education, one of Apple’s most competitive categories, the show was ranked #15. On the show, he interviews young up-and-comers and the most successful people on planet earth like James AltucherKevin RudolfMark MansonDan MillmanNaveen Jain, and Dan Lok.

Jordan founded The WordPress Rocketeer, where he focused on developing engaging websites to launch his clients’ dreams to infinity and beyond. Now, he and his team have shifted their focus to doing marketing for serious podcasters.

His approach to life and business is simple yet powerful: Don’t make a living, design a life. With this creator’s mentality, Jordan has been able to produce outstanding results for himself and challenge others to rise above circumstances, break the mold of society, and take control of their lives.

How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?

I’m 21 years old with two younger siblings. One of the coolest things is when my brother and sister are proud to talk about me to their friends and when their friends want to meet me. It’s nice to know that they look up to me and that I’ve set a good example for them to follow. My parents like to ask me for advice on what to do with my siblings in certain situations. Sometimes, for better or worse, I feel like a third parent. So, I’ve taken on a new role the past few years since I’ve forged my own path. It’s interesting.

How do you define success?

“Don’t make a living, design a life” has been in my Instagram bio for over 2.5 years, not because it sounds good, but because it actually works.

I’ve designed my life around three criteria:

  1. Make a lot of money
  2. Help a lot of people
  3. Have a lot of fun

If a specific activity doesn’t fit at least one of these three criteria, I either don’t do it at all, or I outsource it.

Success is when what you do every day aligns with all three of these criteria.

What piece of advice would you give to college graduates who want to become entrepreneurs?

Dig the well before you’re thirsty. Start developing relationships with all types of people now. Don’t wait until you need relationships because, by then, it’s too late to leverage them. Then, treat everyone like they can get you a cover story on Forbes Magazine. Even if someone doesn’t have an opportunity for you right now, you never know what opportunity they might have for you or who they might be able to introduce you to three days, three weeks, three months, three years, even 15 years from now. Play the long game, and you’ll win.

If you had a magic stick, which are the three things you would change in the world?

Nothing. I enjoy the world the way it is right now but am ready to embrace change when necessary.

Q: What business-related book has inspired you the most? (or, what is your favorite book?)

A: Choose Yourself by James Altucher, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson, Captivate by Vanessa Van Edwards, and Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. When I finally got to interview all of these authors on Growth Mindset University, it made the journey feel full-circle!

Daniel Habif Gives Us Hope Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Published

on

There are few individuals as creative, loving, and genuine as Daniel Habif.

Habif, the Mexican entrepreneur, content creator and motivational speaker who has been featured in many important events such as the Live Aid for Venezuela in February 2019, has spoken at major forums such as TEDx, Mexico’s Senate of the Republic and the recent author of his latest book, INQUEBRANTABLES, shows us that amid despair, there is always hope.

In his latest YouTube video, “RETURNING HOME,” Habif shares his thoughts on the current Covid19 pandemic in an honest, candid, and unequivocally, Daniel Habif way, in which only he can express.

“I don’t believe in any kind of boundaries, which is why I am doing this video in English, Italian, French and other languages. I don’t speak very well, but I will try, I always try. By not expressing myself in my native language makes it a beautiful challenge that allows me to remember: ‘That in this life it is more important to be willing than to be prepared.’” Habif says at the beginning of the video.

In the video, which in less than 24 hours received over 60,000 views, Daniel starts by pointing out that because of Coronavirus there is at the moment a lot of panic because a lot of people are going to be isolated, and that all of this is okay. He also claims that the virus has shown us we are not as strong as we thought.

Because people or cars are not flooding the streets as they normally are, Daniel points out the many things that we can notice now: ‘the birds chirping,’ ‘the blue and beautiful sky and not the smoke from the pollution.’

Daniel continues highlighting the good things happening around us. We can now hear the sound of cutlery from our neighbors as families gather to eat together and see parents go back to telling stories to their little children. There are also those who have to stay alone, but now get the chance to talk to themselves, ‘take a longer shower, eat breakfast slowly, put on some lotion and feel your hands.’

People sing from their balconies and realize they can live their lives with less than they normally get or think they need. Everyone now also has time to clean their minds and have a ‘space to settle themselves,’ and be able to focus on the little pleasures of life we don’t always notice.

In a little less than 11 minutes, Daniel is able to give us the hope we need today more than ever. With a call to go back to love, to forgiveness, and to reflection. This has been an experience for all of us, and it has undoubtedly shown us that we normally live at an unnecessarily fast speed that can lead us to a ‘spiritual heart attack.’

“We will soon remember that our world is abundant and we will discover that sickness is our empty attitude, and that’s okay. Because if we want, only if we want, soon goodness will regain control of humanity and we will all seek to offer comfort, give food and after all this time of not hugging, we will want nothing more but to love, we are going to rethink our lives we are going to want our life to serve the tired, the anguished and the homeless. We will be forced to forgive because we have realized that we all need each other.” Daniel states in the video.

Daniel closes by asking people to cooperate rather than compete, and to pray for the rebirth and revival of love. He makes the point that this pain cannot be for nothing–that we should learn something from this and come out of it improved.

RETURNING HOME” has been able to move thousands of people from all over the world–drawing comments of amazement, bliss, gratefulness, reflection and unity. Check it out and share it with people who may need to be lifted up today. To watch Daniel Habif’s “RETURNING HOME” video, click here.

Dennis Kenney Proves That If There Is A Will, There Is A Way

Published

on

At this point in his career, Dennis Kenney has styled multiple celebrities for award shows like The Academy Awards, the Grammys, and the Met Gala. He was the head wardrobe stylist for the hit show Trading Places on TLC. Dennis has been featured in GQ as having one of the best street style looks for New York Fashion Week, and has his own boutique and clothing brand. With all of his incredible accolades, it would be hard to believe this would be his career path just a few years prior.

There was a point in time when Dennis had zero motives of becoming a stylist, and instead had all of his focus on becoming a successful actor. While that did not pan out, his desire to follow his dreams and take risks to put himself in a position to work for himself and become financially free remained the same. After attending Carnegie Mellon and spending a brief stint in film, Kenney discovered his intense passion for fashion and set his mind to leveraging his way into the industry. By being consistent in uploading fashion content to social media, he began to gain a large enough following to the point where brands had no choice but to take notice.

From there, his experience as a creative director for 260 Sample Sale and a sitdown interview with Christian Siriano sealed his reputation as a stylist through both his personality and his work. One of his more significant experiences was taking a huge risk by dressing a morning TV host in a dress that was considered risque for the occasion, but was received with huge praise. While it certainly was a risk, Dennis gained validation in his choices as a stylist and confirmed his belief that it is more than alright to go against the grain, as this is what helped separate him from the pack.

While his own decision making and personality has certainly taken him a long way, Dennis has great appreciation for his connections and those that have helped turn his business into a massive success. While it takes a great deal of effort to find the right employees, he knows how important it is to surround himself with the right people. Not only have his employees shot his business to new heights, the connections he has made throughout his journey have been crucial to his success and in landing new opportunities. Because of this, he strongly recommends to never burn a bridge with anyone, as he never knows when he will cross someone again in a major situation or opportunity.

Dennis Kenney has certainly made the most of every opportunity and has never shied away from the challenge of chasing his dreams, and anyone who has worked with him knows how kind hearted and grounded he has been through it all. In terms of what is next for Dennis, the sky truly is the limit.
